Additional information

A survey of autoignition temperatures for the substance was taken from various handbooks (n=5). All were in agreement with a value of 593°C. Given the general agreement and lack of references to original sources, there is evidence of "data recycling". However, the value is generally consistent with similar chlorinated hydrocarbons (Rossberg, M., et al, Chlorinated hydrocarbons in Ullmann's Encyclopedia of Industrial Chemistry, 2009, Wiley-VCH).

The available information is considered to be adaquate for the purposes of classification and labelling, and risk assessment, according to Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, Annex XI, 1.2, based on the weight-of-evidence of available information.
