EC number: 310-083-8 | CAS number: 102242-52-4 The complex residue resulting from the distillation of C6-24 and C6-24 unsatd. fatty acids methyl esters which is derived from natural fats having a carbon range of C6-24. It consists predominantly of satd. and unsatd. fatty acids methyl esters having carbon numbers greater than C20, dimerization products, and wax esters and boils at > 200°C (392°F) at 10 torr.

Study not needing according to column 2 of REACH annex IX: the chemical safety assessment according to Annex I indicates no need to investigate further the affects on aquatic organism.

According to Annex XI par. 3 and to Column 2 of REACH annex IX the test can be omitted based on the result of the chemical safety assessment.
Short term tests doesn't reveal any hazard for the environement, both in fresh water than in salt water. The substance is readily biodegradable, it is metabolised by the organisms and it is not bioaccumulative. Based on the overview of toxicity and metabolism at all trophic levels no long term toxicity is expected.
