In accordance with section 1 of REACH regulation (1907/2006) Annex XI, the study does not need to be performed as based on chemical structure ''Boehmite” is a non flammable solid. Pyrophoric properties and flammability in contact with water are not to be expected.
Justification for classification or non-classification
Justification: On the basis of its chemical structure "Boehmite" is a non flammable solid. In addition pyrophoric properties and flammability in contact with water are not to be expected. According to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 on classification, labelling and packaging (CLP) of substances and mixtures, the substance ''Boehmite'' is considered not to be a flammable solid.
