Description of key information
The water solubility of substances in the category Rosin adducts and rosin adduct salts range from 1.38 mg/L to 60 mg/L

A GLP-compliant study, that followed OECD Guideline 105 (flask method) was provided for Rosin, fumarated (Inveresk, 2004). Additionally, a study following EU method A.6 (column elution method) was also provided for Rosin, fumarated (Chilworth Technology, 2010a).
Although the Chilworth Technology (2010a) study follow standard guidelines, there are concerns that the test method may not be appropriate for the test substance as there is a large difference in results between the preliminary study and the study following the column elution method. For this reason, where both Chilworth and Inveresk studies are available for a substance, the Inveresk values are considered as key.
In addition, a calculated value is provided for Rosin, fumarated (Marlin Consultancy, 2010). Where test data are available, this should be used instead of calculated data, therefore the tested values are considered as key for this substance.
