Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

In the context of phototransformation in air of N-Methylethanolamine no experimental data are available. An AOPWIN v1.92 (EPI Suite v4.11) calculation was performed to predict the half-life in air. This estimation indicates a rapid degradation of the substance when potentially entering the atmosphere. It is not expected that N-Methylethanolamine will accumulate in the air or be transported in the gaseous phase over long distances. Hence, air will not be an environmental compartment of concern for the compound.

For phototransformation in water as well as in soil no information are available. These types of phototransformation are not expected to significantly contribute to the fate of N-Methylethanolamine in the environment studies would be scientifically unjustified.

N-Methylethanolamine is not expected to undergo hydrolysis under environmental conditions. The substance lacks functional groups where this process would be relevant.
