Conclusions:
The density of the test item has been determined to be 1740 kg/m3 at 21.0 ± 0.5 °C using a relevant test method. The result is considered to be reliable.
Executive summary:

Method

The determination was carried out using a gas comparison pycnometer, designed to be compatible with Method A3 Relative Density of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and Method 109 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 27 July 1995.

Conclusion

The density of the test item has been determined to be 1.74 x 103 kg/m3 at 21.0 ± 0.5°C.

Description of key information

Density (HEBMP-xNa): 1740 kg/m3 at 21.0 ± 0.5°C (OECD 109)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A measured density value of 1740 kg/m3 at 21.0 ± 0.5°C was determined for the solid salt sample of sodium salt of HEBMP using a pycnometer method in accordance with OECD Test Guideline 109 and in compliance with GLP. The result is considered to be reliable and is selected as key study.

In available secondary sources to which reliability could not be assigned, specific gravity values of 1.25 g/cm3 and 1.11 g/cm3 at 20°C were reported for the commercial solutions of the substance.
