Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The water solubility of the substance is determined to be < 0.165 mg/l at 22 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The water solubility is derived from a weight-of-evidence-approach considering two experimental results and two literature sources. The studies determined the water solubility of the test substance, by using the flask method and taking into account the hydrolysis of the the test substance, to be < 0.165 mg/l at 22 °C (study from 1992) and 0.09 mg/l at 25 °C and ph 6.8 - 7.2 (study from 1987).

The results are supported by two literature sources. The GESTIS database reports the water solubility to be less than 0.0001 g/l at 20 °C and the Hazardous Substances Data Bank (HSDB) reports the substance to be practically unsoluble in water.

The results for the water solubility match together. Regarding the standard of documentation and determination the experimental study from 1992 is choosen to be the most valid and therefore as the key value.
