First-aid measures
General information:
Call a POISON CENTER or a doctor if you feel unwell or in case of doubt on health conditions. The first responders must always wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Contact with the eyes: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes, holding the eyelids open. If eye irritation persists, get medical advice/attention.
Contact with the skin: Take off contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse. Wash with plenty of water. If skin irritation or rash occurs, get medical advice/attention.
Inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. If experiencing respiratory symptoms, give oxygen and call a POISON CENTER or a doctor. In case of respiratory arrest, provide artificial respiration (only by trained personnel).
Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting, unless recommended by a doctor. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Call a
POISON CENTER or a doctor if you feel unwell.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed:
The substance has not been completely tested from a toxicological point of view. The effects resulting from exposure in the workplace are not known. May cause an allergic skin reaction.

Indication of any immediate medical attention are given in the section related to First aid measures.
Basic first aid and symptomatic treatment. The symptoms of poisoning can also appear in a post-exposure phase; therefore, medical surveillance should be submitted within 48 hours of the accident.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing measures
Suitable: Extinguishing agents appropriate for the source of the fire and the surrounding area (e.g. water spray, carbon dioxide, dry powder and foam).
Unsuitable: Direct water jet.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:
The substance is neither flammable nor explosive. In case of a fire, carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides, iodine compounds, chlorine compounds and other irritating and/or toxic pyrolysis products may be released.
Advice for firefighters:
Evacuate and isolate the area until complete fire extinction. Firefighters must always wear appropriate protective equipment: positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus [ref. EN 137]; fireproof clothing [ref. EN 469]; fireproof gloves [ref. EN 659]; firefighter’s boots [ref. HO A29-A30]. Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid breathing fumes/gases. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Stay upwind. Remove containers if it can be done without risk. Alternatively, cool the recipient exposed to fire with water spray. Prevent the contaminated extinguishing water flowing into drains or waterways.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment, and procedures in case of emergency
For non-emergency personnel: Alert the emergency personnel. Avoid generation of dust. Avoid breathing dust. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
For emergency responders: In case of release of significant amount of substance, evacuate and isolate the area. Limit access only to trained personnel. Ensure adequate ventilation. Eliminate all ignition sources if it can be done without risk. Avoid generation of dust. Avoid breathing dust. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Environmental precautions
Prevent the substance from leaking into the environment and run off into drains, surface waters and groundwater. Alert competent authorities if large amounts into drains or watercourses.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Contain the spillage. Collect with non-sparking tools. Transfer in a properly labeled container. Dispose of the material in accordance with local/national regulation. Clean surface thoroughly in order to remove residual contamination.
Handling and storage
This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 17(3) for on-site isolated intermediates. Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at the manufacturing site.
Precautions for safe handling
The work place and work methods shall be organized in such a way that direct contact with the substance is prevented or minimized. The substance must be handled by trained, authorized and controlled personnel based on well documented procedures. Equipments must be designed and installed in such a way as to ensure containment of the substance. Provide local exhaust ventilation able to limit the dispersion of particles in the air. Keep away from heat/sparks/open flames. Take action to prevent static discharges. Keep away from incompatible materials. Avoid generation of dust. Avoid breathing dust. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Do not eat, drink, or smoke during use. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Wash periodically clothes and personal protective equipment to remove contaminants.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Keep the container tightly closed. Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep cool. Avoid exposure to moisture and direct sunlight. Store away from heat/sparks/open flames. Achieve rigorous containment without considering the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Wear PPE in accordance with standards set by European and national legislation. Consult the supplier in all cases before making a final decision.
Skin protection: Wear long sleeve protective clothing [ref. EN 13982].
Hand protection: Wear chemical impervious gloves [ref. EN 374] in nitril rubber (minimum thickness 0.3 mm --- breakthrough time > 480 minuti). Gloves should be removed immediately in case of breakage or contamination.
Eye protection: Wear safety glasses with side shields [ref. EN 166].
Respiratory protection: If the risk assessment requires the use of purified air respirators, wear a half mask with a type P2 filter [ref. EN 140/143] or a FFP2 filtering facepiece [ref. EN 140/149].
Technical and hygienic measures: Ensure rigorous containment of the substance through technical measures supported by procedural and control technologies aimed at minimizing emissions and exposure. Provide local exhaust ventilation able to limit the dispersion of particles in the air. Equip with emergency showers the areas in which handling and storage of the substance take place. Do not eat, drink, or smoke during use. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Wash periodically clothes and personal protective equipment to remove contaminants.
Monitoring procedures: Provide periodic sampling of the workplace in accordance with the indications of health surveillance. Refer to current monitoring standards and national guidance documents on methods for the determination of hazardous substances.
Environmental measures: Operate in accordance with the provisions of the relevant legislation concerning the water protection and waste management. Emissions into the environment deriving from the process (e.g. during sampling and maintenance) must be minimized.
