Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Determination of particle size of Amino-THC-Acid led to d10 = 69 µm and d50 = 155 µm.

Additional information

The particle size distribution of Amino-THC-acid was determined according the Method SOP AEP200202.1 using the gravitation dispersing.

Visual judgement of Amino-THC-acid showed large particles, which cannot be detected using the possible scale range of the laser diffraction analyzer. For this reason, the oversize part of Amino-THC-acid > 800 µm was separated by manual sieving. The underflow directly was measured using a laser diffraction analyzer Syrnpatec, type Helos/vario-LA. The dispersing of this part of the sample into the laser beam of the analyzer was done using the gravitation dispersing system "GRADIS" (Syrnpatec ). The dry, free flowing sample is lead through the beam in a vertical free fall using a rocking trough and a 500 mm dropping pipe with a cascade of deflector plates for destruction of incornpact agglomerates.

The oversize part of Amino-THC-acid (> 800 µm) of 12.1 % was separated by sieving before determining the particle size distribution by laser diffraction.
