Studies to characterise the terrestrial toxicity of magnesium bis(dihydrogenorthophosphate) are not submitted for the following reasons:

Magnesium bis(dihydrogenorthophosphate) will dissociate to magnesium and phosphate ions (See IUCLID section 5.1.2 of this dossier).  Both phosphate and magnesium are ubiquitous in the environment and are found naturally in soil, water and sediment. Magnesium and phosphate will be assimilated by species residing in the natural environment and are necessary micronutrients that are required to maintain a good chemical balance in soils, water and sediment. Due to the natural occurrence of the constituent breakdown products of magnesium bis(dihydrogenorthophosphate) in the environment, it is expected that magnesium bis(dihydrogenorthophosphate) would not be toxic and as such testing is not scientifically justified.
