Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Hydrolytically stable (GUBDH, 2008).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Due to the chemical structure and reactivity of undecanal, there is no abiotic hydrolytic degradation of the substance in aqueous environmental compartments under ambient conditions (GUBDH, 2008).

Further, undecanal has been identified to be readily biodegradable.

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VIII for readily biodegradable compounds no data on hydrolysis as a function of pH need to be determined.
