Description of key information

The EC50 based on growth rate and biomass was determined to be greater than 100 mg/L nominal concentration. The NOEC was determined at 100 mg/L nominal concentration.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The toxicity to aquatic algae was assessed according to OECD guideline 201 and EU-method C.3. Algae were exposed to a loading rate of 100 mg/L for 72 hours. The 72-hour NOEC of the test item to Scenedesmus subspicatus was determined at a nominal concentration of 100 mg/L (mean measured 0.12 mg/L). The 72-hour LOEC and the 72-hour EC10, EC50 and EC90 based on growth rate and biomass were determined to be greater than 100 mg/L nominal concentration (mean measured 0.12 mg/L).
