Description of key information

Inhalation: cardiac sensitisation; dogs. NOAEC = 200000 ppm (1128931 mg/m3). No cardiac sensitisation was observed at the highest concentration tested. Reliability = 2.

Additional information

Male Beagle dogs received a control intravenous injection of epinephrine (0.008 mg/kg bw) and then subsequently were exposed to 200000 ppm (1128931 mg/m3) of the test substance. Approximately 5 minutes after the start of the exposure, the dogs were given another intravenous injection of epinephrine (0.008 mg/kg bw). No cardiac sensitisation was observed in any of the 12 tested dogs. The NOAEC was 200000 ppm based on the absence of cardiac sensitisation at this exposure level.
