Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information
The test substance is not explosive.
Key value for chemical safety assessment
- Explosiveness:
- non explosive
Additional information
Key study: Read -across
A read- across was conducted with the test substance Blue MGi 1037 (EC 138-610-8).
In the study according to Directive EEC A.14 the source substance Blue MGi 1037 (EC 138-610-8) is not explosive as it is not thermally sensitive, not shock sensitive, and not sensitive to friction.
Based on the structure similarity, it is expected that the target substance Blue MGi 1037 Na salt (EC 473-160-6) is also not explosive.
This decision has been taken in agreement with the French Authorities (INRS) and the Swiss Authorities (BAG).
Justification for classification or non-classification
Classification, Labelling, and Packaging Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008
The available data are reliable and suitable for classification purposes under Regulation 1272/2008. As a result the substance is not considered to be classified for explosive properties under Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, as amended for the tenth time in Regulation (EU) No 2017/776.
