EC number: 272-712-1 | CAS number: 68909-77-3 The residuum from the reaction of diethylene glycol and ammonia. It consists predominantly of morpholine-based derivatives such as [(aminoethoxy)ethyl]morpholine, [(hydroxyethoxy)ethyl]morpholine, 3-morpholinone, and 4,4'-(oxydi-2,1-ethanediyl)bis[morpholine].

Description of key information
A summary of results for environmental fate and pathways endpoints of the test substance is as follows:
Hydrolysis: the substance is hydrolytically stable at pH 4, 7 and 9 at 25°C.
Biodegradation: the substance is not readily biodegradable. No further testing is deemed necessary.
Bioaccumulation: in view of the low log Kow the substance will have a low potential for bioaccumulation. Based on very low log Kow values predicted with KOWWIN v1.68, the substance's predicted biodegradation products will also have a low potential for bioaccumulation.
Adsorption/desorption: the measured Koc ranges from <17.8 to 141 L/kg at pH 5.5 and from <17.8 to 29.8 L/kg at pH 7.5.
