Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information
There is no test for the water solubility of hexadecyl (R)-12-hydroxyoleate (CAS 10401-55-5) available. The water solubility is therefore based on studies performed with analogue substances and QSAR calculations for the components present in hexadecyl (R)-12-hydroxyoleate as well as QSAR calculations for the analogue substances.
The analogue substances are myristyl myristate (CAS 3234-85-3, C14/C14) and reaction mass of octadecyl heptanoate and octadecyl octanoate (EC-List No. 915-334-0, C18/C7 and C18/C8). They are structurally similar and with a shorter chain length than the target substance seen as a kind “worst case” as the water solubility is a property decreasing with increasing overall chain length. For myristyl myristate a water solubility of <0.02 mg/L at 22 °C was measured with slow stirring method and analytic by GC-MS. For the reaction mass of octadecyl heptanoate and octadecyl octanoate
the water solubility was determined to be <0.7 mg/L at 24 °C, pH=7.1-7.9.Calculations for the three components of both analogue substances (C14/C14, C18/C7, C18/C8) reveal lower results:
C18/C7: 0.0002 mg/L, pH=7
C18/C8: 0.00003 mg/L, pH=7
C14/C14: 0.000005 mg/L, pH=7
So the calculated values for the components of hexadecyl (R)-12-hydroxyoleate (hexadecyl ricinoleate (A), hexadecyl oleate (B) and hexadecyl bisricinoleate (C)) will be also lower then test results. The calculated results are:
(A) 0.000003 mg/L, pH=7
(B) 0.0000003 mg/L, pH=7
(C) 0.0000000009 mg/L, pH=7
Taken the substance containing the most soluble component (C18/C7) in this weight of evidence approach (WS <0.7 mg/L) as basis, the water solubility of the target substance hexadecyl (R)-12-hydroxyoleate (CAS 10401-55-5) is concluded to be <0.7 mg/L at pH=7.Information on Registered Substances comes from registration dossiers which have been assigned a registration number.
