Additional information

Stability

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VIII, the hydrolysis test (required in section 9.2.2.1) does not need to be conducted, as the test substance is highly insoluble in water (< 0.4 mg/L at 20 °C). Furthermore, due to the chemical structure of the substance, hydrolysis is not expected.

Biodegradation

Two studies on the biodegradation in water were performed. Both studies were conducted according to the OECD-Guideline No. 301 B "Modified Sturm Test" (1981). The results show that the compound is not readily biodegradable.

An elimination of 83.8 % was observed in a coupled unit test according to the OECD Guideline 303A.At an average concentration of 28.5 mg/l, 83.8% was eliminated within the test period of 36 days determined by direct analysis of parent. The results show that the compound is readily eliminated in sewage treatment plants.

Adsorption

The adsorption coefficient was estimated with EPIWIN. The log Koc was calculated to be 15.6359 (MCI).
