Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Symptomatic treatment.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water or eyewash solution for at least 10
minutes. Seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash with water. If symptoms
develop, obtain medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, foam, dry powder or carbon dioxide may be used.
Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon, nitrogen
and sulfur together with hydrogen chloride gas, metal oxide
smoke and soot.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus and suitable protective
clothing should be worn.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Avoid dust formation. Wear suitable protective clothing (see
2.3.1). Sweep up spill and transfer to a labelled container
and dispose of at a landfill site or by incineration in
accordance with local regulations. Wash spill site with
water.
Handling and storage
Handling: Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid dust formation. Avoid
inhalation and contact with skin and eyes. Gloves, safety
goggles and a dust mask should be worn.
Storage: Store in tightly closed containers. Take precautionary
measures against static discharges.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 25 kg mild steel full opening drum with polyethylene liner.

Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: Cases of respiratory sensitisation have been observed with
reactive dyes, care should be taken to avoid inhalation of
dust.
Chemical reaction with water: None reported.
Dust explosion: The substance may produce flammable dust clouds in air.
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for recycling is not economically feasible.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Chemical treatment is not considered appropriate. However,
the substance does undergo hydrolysis under acidic
conditions and elevated temperature. The toxicity of the
hydrolysis products is not known. (A631)
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal at an approved landfill site is possible. (A650)
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method, incinerate using temperatures above 950
deg C. Waste gas treatment to remove oxides of nitrogen and
sulfur and hydrogen chloride gas should be used. (A661)
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended, it is unlikely that the substance will be
appreciably degraded in aerobic processes of short duration.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for reuse is not economically feasible, the
substance will only enter the public domain as part of an
article.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable, the substance will only enter the public
domain as part of an article.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: The substance will only enter the public domain in the form
of dyed articles which can be disposed of as domestic waste.
