Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Qualifier:
no guideline followed
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Preparation: The sample being investigated must be fully dry, homogenous and in powdered form.
Determination of the approximate melting point of the tested sample:
Put the tested sample to the melting point system; Set up the heating rate at 5℃/min. Observe the melting stage to obtain the approximate melting point of the tested sample.
Determination of the melting point of the tested sample:
Put the tested sample to the melting point system; Set the starting temperature of heating program, which should be lower than the approximate melting point at least 10℃. Set up the heating rate at 1℃/min and starting the determine program. The beginning temperature and the final temperature of the melting range should be recorded. The melting range should be determined twice at least.
