First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Obtain medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Seek
immediate medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected areas with soap and plenty of water. Seek
medical attention if irritation develops. Launder
contaminated clothing before re-use.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Obtain medical attention.

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, dry powder or carbon dioxide may be used.
Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon and
sulfur together with some soot.

apparatus must be worn.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clthing, see 2.3.1 Evacuate
personnel from immediate vicinity. Dust formation should be
avoided. Absorb spillages of solutions with a suitable inert
material (eg. sand or soil). Carefully transfer the spillage
to suitably labelled waste containers, or use a sealed
industrial vacuum machine and dispose of in accordance with
local regulations by landfill or incineration.
Handling and storage
Handling: The substance should be stored, handled and used under
conditions of good industrial hygiene. When exposure cannot
be prevented or adequately controlled by using engineering
control appropriate personal protective equipment should be
worn. Such protective equipment should conform to the
appropriate international or national standards as follows;
Chemical protective gloves to Standard prEN374
Chemical protective clothing to Standard EN368
Eye protection to Standard prEN166.
When respiratory protective equipment has to be used, it
should conform to the appropriate international or national
standards, such as a dust mask conforming to EN149 FFP1.
Storage: Store in sealed containers in cool, dry conditions away from
sources of ignition.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: UN standard polyethylene-lined fibre drums or HDPE
containers.

inert material (eg. sand or soil) may be disposed of by
landfill at an authorised tip in accordance with local

disposed of by incineration by burning under controlled
conditions at a licensed waste treatment processor in
accordance with local regulations. Stack gases should be
