Conclusions:
The study is well documented, meets generally accepted scientific principles, is acceptable for assessment and therefore reliability of Klimisch 2 has been assigned.
Three DSC measurements were performed. All three measurements had different peak behaviour but no clear events. In the pre-test the substance had shrivelled slightly. This could be a sign that a chemical compound is breaking down. Therefore, the melting point under these test conditions should be >600 °C.
Executive summary:

The determination of the melting point of zinc metaborate was performed via DSC (differential scanning calorimetry according to OECD 102 resp. EU A.1.

No clear event was detected. Based on the observation in the pre-test the melting point of the test substance should be stated as > 600 °C.

The measurement of indium after calibration met the validity criteria. Therefore, the result of the study is considered valid.
