Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
In the investigation of self-ignition in the Grewer-oven for the pure product and for the product in mixture with Kieselguhr no endothermic and exothermal process was detected up to the maximum temperature of about 400°C.Due to this result, the product is classified as following:UN-transport classification: The product has not to be classified as self-heating substance in class 4.2 according to the transport regulations.GHS: The product has not to be classified as self-heating substance according to GHS.
Executive summary:

Up to the final temperature of the screening test on self-ignition in the Grewer-oven of about 400°C, the test item showed no exothermic process. This result corresponds well to the result of the DSC under 25 bar air pressure where also no exothermic process was observed up to the final measurement temperature of 500°C.

For the determination of a safe temperature for handling the product under air, it is resorted to the onset-temperature of an exothermal process. In the present case, no exothermal process is detected up to the final temperature of 400°C.

Due to this result, the product is classified as following:

UN-transport classification: The product has not to be classified as self-heating substance in class 4.2 according to the transport regulations.

GHS: The product has not to be classified as self-heating substance according to GHS.
