Pre-test for safety:

The bubble chain was observed at approx. 306 °C and the chain broke at approx. 241 °C. Decomposition was observed after cooling down, indicated by a colour change from colourless to light yellow.

The first two measurements were discarded because the difference between the expected flashpoint and the measured flash point was too high. The difference between the two values which were measured was below 2 K. For this reason, the determination was considered valid.
