The concentration verification of the test solution were carried out at 0 hour and 72 hours after initiation of exposure for the concentration of 100 mg/L.

- 100 mg of 2-Phenylsuccinic Acid was suspended in acetone to prepare a stock solution of a final volume of 10 ml, with a nominal concentration of 10 mg/ml. This stock was suitably added to test containers to attain the desired test concentration.

Growth inhibition Test of 2-Phenylsuccinic Acid in fresh water green alga -Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata (Selenastrum capricornutum) was performed in compliance with the OECD Guideline for Testing of Chemicals, No. 201, ‘Freshwater Alga and Cyanobacteria, Growth Inhibition Test’, Section 2, adopted by the Council on 23 March 2006 and Annex 5 corrected: 28 July 2011.
