Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information
Additional information
Toxicity to fish
The test item, Allyl Amyl Glycolate, was tested for acute toxicity on fish Poecilia reticulata. The definitive test was performed under semi-static conditions with a range of the test item nominal concentrations of 10, 5, 2.5, 0.63, 0.32 and 0.16 mg/L. The analytical results showed that test item concemtrations were not stable in dilution water. Therefore time-weighted mean concentrations were used for evaluations and results presentation. Test results: 96 hour-LC50 = 0.30 mg/L (time-weighted mean concentration), 96 hour-LC0 < 0.08 mg/L, 96 hour-LC100 = 1.67 mg/L.
Toxicity to acquatic invertebrates
The test item, Allyl Amyl Glycolate, was tested in acute immobilisation test on Daphnia magna. The test was performed according to method C.2- Daphnia sp. Acute Immobilisation Test. The definitive test was performed under semi-static conditions with a range of the test item nominal concentrations of 10, 6.3, 3.9, 2.4, 1.5, 0.9 and 0.6 mg/L. Because concentrations of the test item have not been satisfactorily maintained within ± 20 percent of the nominal or measured initial concentration, time-weighted mean concentrations were used for evaluations and results presentation. Test results: 48 hour-EC50 = 2.21 mg/L (time-weighted mean concentration), 48 hour-EC0 = 0.44 mg/L, 48 hour-EC100 = 7.62 mg/L.
Toxicity to algae
The test item, Allyl Amyl Glycolate, was tested for growth inhibition on algae Desmodesmus subspicatus. The test was performed according to method C.3. - Freshwater Algae and Cyanobacteria, Growth Inhibition Test. Based on toxicity of the test item found in preliminary test, the full test was performed in a range of the test item nominal concentrations 9, 13, 20, 30, 45, 67 and 100 mg/L. Because the concentrations of test item have not been satisfactorily maintained within ± 20 percent of the nominal or measured initial concentration, the geometric mean of measured concentrations was used for results presentation and evaluation. Test results: 72 hour-EC50 (based on growth rate) = 8.2 mg/L (geometric mean of measured concentrations), 72 hour-EC10 = 1.4 mg/L.
Toxicity to microorganisms
The influence of the test item, Allyl Amyl Glycolate, on the respiration rate of activated sludge was investigated after a contact time of 3 hours. Test was performed according to Method C.11- Activated Sludge Respiration Inhibition Test (Carbon and Ammonium Oxidation) and OECD Test Guideline No.209- Activated Sludge, Respiration Inhibition Test (Carbon and Ammonium Oxidation). The definitive test was performed in a range of test item nominal concentrations 15 -240 mg/L. Test results for the test item: 3 hour-EC50 = 90.5 mg/L (nominal concentration).
