Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Remarks on result:
not determinable

The differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) measurements in closed glass crucibles showed no endothermic effect until the decomposition of the test substance beginning at 170°C. The test substance has no melting point at atmospheric pressure.

Conclusions:
Under the conditions of the study, the DSC-measurements in closed glass crucibles showed no endothermic effect until the decomposition of the test substance beginning at 170°C. The test substance has no melting point at atmospheric pressure.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the melting point of the test substance according to OECD Guideline 102 and EU Method A.1, in compliance with GLP.

The test was carried out with the purified test substance. The determination of the melting point/melting range was carried out by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC: Mettler-Toledo TA8000).

Under the conditions of the study, the DSC-measurements in closed glass crucibles showed no endothermic effect until the decomposition of the test substance beginning at 170°C. The test substance has no melting point at atmospheric pressure.

Description of key information

The test substance has no melting point at atmospheric pressure (Smeykal, 2006).
