Description of key information

The density of the test item has been determined to be 1.40 x 10^3 kg/m3 at 20.0 ± 0.5°C using the pycnometer method, designed to be compatible with Method 109 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 27 July 1995.

Additional information

A reliability rating of 1 was assigned to the key study, according to the criteria of Klimisch, 1997 as the study was conducted in accordance with recognised guidelines and GLP.

Supporting information is also available from a Merck (2006) Safety data sheet and a NIOSH report. The results contained in these are a density of 1.37 - 1.40 g/cm3at 20°C and a relative density of 1.36 respectively.

A reliability rating of 4 was assigned for the SDS as the information is secondary source. The NIOSH report was assigned a reliability rating of 2 as it is a peer reviewed Government report.
