Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

kinematic viscosity of the test material (at 40ºC and 100ºC):
- ca. 10, 18 or 44 mm2/s at 40°C (depending on the base oil grade)
- ca. 3, 4 or 8 mm2/s at 100°C (depending on the base oil grade)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The UVCB substance ‘Distillates (Fischer-Tropsch), heavy, C18-50 - branched, cyclic and linear’ can be produced with a range of viscosities, from 10 to 44 Centistokes (cSt=mm2/s) at 40°C. Three grades are relevant for supply in the EU, with viscosities of 10, 18 and 44 cSt at 40°C. In general terms, lower viscosity grade products contain relatively higher proportions of lower carbon number consistuents.
