Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Allow the victim to rest in a well-ventilated area. If
irritation persists, get medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Check for and remove any contact lenses. In case of contact
with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water. If
irritation persists, get medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of
water. If irritation persists, get medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Have concious person drink several glasses of water or
milk. Get medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Use dry chemicals, Kohlendioxid, water spray or foam.
"ENGLISH"
Use dry chemicals, carbon dioxide, water spray or foam.
Product arising from burning: Kohlenstoffoxide, Stickstoffoxide
"ENGLISH"
Carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Be sure to use an approved/certified respirator or
equivalent.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Take up spilled substance in a dry state avoiding the format
ion of dust (e.g. using an industrial vacuum cleaner of
approved type) and into suitable containers for disposal.
Finish cleaning by spreading water on the contaminated
surface and dispose of according to local and regional
authority requirements. The containers label in accordance
with Technical Rule 201.
Consider local and national regulations with the disposal of
the substance. While taking up the substance, prevent skin
and eye contact as well as inhalation of it. Wear personal
protective equipment (see in this regard point "handling").
Handling and storage
Handling: All working methods must always be designed so that exposure
by skin contact and, if applicable, by inhalation of the
substance, is minimized. Closed, or at least dustproof,
equipment should be used during filling and metered feeding
as well as during sampling. In the case of handling in open
systems, any dust that can form must be extracted directly
at the point of origin. If technical extraction or
ventilation (typically 10 air changes per hour) measures are
not possible or are insufficient, the wearing of respiratory
protection (e.g. :::) is recommended. To avoid skin contact,
tested protecti-ve gloves (e.g. :::) and, if applicable,
suitable protective clothing (e.g. :::) should be worn.
Adequate washing facilities should be available in the
immediate vicinity of the work area. After skin contact, the
affected parts of the skin shoud be cleaned tho-roughly
using (:::). Special skin-protection and skin-care measures
are recommended. A skin-protection plan should be drawn up.
Due to the potential dust-explosion risk, if dust can
form, potential ignition sources have be removed from the
work are a. Measu-res have be taken against electrostatic
discharges. Due to the potential exothermic decomposition of
the substance at heat it must be avoided.
Storage: Keep container tightly closed and secure by suitable
measures against falling down. Keep container in a cool,
well-ventilated area. Prevent from freezing.
For the storage the original packaging drums or other
unbreakable and correctly labelled containers are to be
used. Avoid product residues on the packing drums.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Fiber drum (20 kg)
