Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Eyes contact: Wash eyes as soon as possible with water for 15 minutes. If it is necessary consult with a physician.
Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash with water and soap.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Consult with a physician.
Fire-fighting measures
Not explosive. Not flammable. Hydrogen chloride and sulphur dioxide are its decomposition substances if it is heated over 200ºC.
All means of extinguishing are acceptable.
As protective measures in case of intervention: evacuate all non-essential personnel and use personnel protective equipment and breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: spillages can be slippery, regular protective equipment.
Environmental precautions: Do not discharge into environment (sewers, rivers, ...)
Methods for cleaning up: absorbs the spillage with sand, soil or absorbent materials. Is necessary to treat the mixture as residue.
Handling and storage
Handle in a well-ventilated area.
Use only equipment and materials which are compatible with the product (polyester strengthened with fiber glass or coated steel).
Handle with stainless steel pump. Handling and storage at ambient temperature (if it is a viscous liquid avoid temperatures higher than 40-50ºC).
Storage in polyester tanks strengthened with fiber glass or coated steel and rigid polyethylene containers.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Handle in a well-ventilated area.
Avoid the inhalation of vapours when opening the container.
Contaminated work clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace
Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection
Stability and reactivity
Not explosive. Not flammable. Hydrogen chloride and sulphur dioxide are its decomposition substances if it is heated over 200ºC.
Disposal considerations
Do not discharge into environment (sewers, rivers, ...) Absorbs the spillage with sand, soil or absorbent materials and treat the mixture as residue.
