* Due to low volume of aqueous solution recovered after the final centrifugation and filtering stage the pH had to be measured using pH testing strips instead of a pH meter.

Conclusions:
The results show that the mean water solubility for sodium metaborate was 36.77 % w/w (calculated from sodium oxide) and 30.02 % w/w (300.2 g/L) (calculated from boric oxide).
