Additional information

Degradation and stability

Abiotic degradation - hydrolysis

The assessment of hydrolytic stability was not performed due to the low water solubility of the test substance. A substance specific method able to detect a decrease of 10% in concentration at approximately half the water solubility saturation could not be developed.

Ready biodegradation

The final biodegradation level of the test material was -4%. The reference substance, aniline, reached a level of 84% biodegradation in the same test period. No degradation of the test material based on oxygen consumption values was observed after 28 days.

Bioaccumulation

Aquatic

The bioconcentration factor of the test item in carp was determined to be less than 5 and less than 34 at the high and low exposure levels respectively, in a 28 day bioaccumulation test. It was concluded that the test substance was not bioaccumulative under the test conditions.

Adsorption/desorption

The adsorption coefficient of the test item has been determined to be greater than 4.27 x 10E5 with a Log10 Koc of > 5.63.
