Additional information

The substance was found to be inherently biodegradable by an average of 35 % over the 28-day exposure. The substance therefore fails to be categorised as "not persistent" acc. to ECHA's "Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment - Chapter R.11: PBT Assessment", as the cut-off criterion is 70% inherent biodegradability within 7 days in the Zahn-Wellens-Test. On the other hand the substance cannot yet finally be categorised as "persistent", as the same guideline requests an inherent biodegradability after 28 days < 20% for substances to be classified as persistent.

A final conclusion of the biodegradability / persistence of the test substance cannot be drawn yet based on the information available. For these reasons the substancetemporarily shall be assessed as "inherently biodegradable, not fulfilling specific criteria.

The substance further failed the test on ready biodegradability.
