Applicant's summary and conclusion

Validity criteria fulfilled:
not specified
Conclusions:
The study was conducted under GLP according to ISO 8192:1986 (corresponds to OECD 209) on the registered substance itself. The method is to be considered scientifically reasonable with minor deficiencies in documentation, but the available information allows the conclusion that the test was properly conducted. Hence, the results can be considered as reliable to assess the effects of the test substance to aquatic organisms, here, activated sludge.
EC50 = 194 mg/L
Executive summary:

In a study conducted under GLP according to ISO 8192:1986 (corresponds to OECD 209), 100, 180, 320, 560 and 10000 mg/L of N-(2-chloroethyl)-N-ethyl-3-methylaniline were added to activated sludge and the respiration rate was determined. 3,5-Dichlorphenol served as positive control. The EC50 was determined to be 194 mg/L.
