- Additional information on results:
- Observations:
"ENGLISH"
Precipitation:
Up to 5000 µg/plate (tube) no precipitation was observed in
any of the tested strains.
Plate incorporation test (evaluated as a pretest):
No bacteria-toxic effects were observed up to and including
1581 µg/plate. The total count of bacteria/plate was
comparable with that of the negative control or they
only differed insignificantly. No growth inhibition was
observed. At 5000 µg/plate only weak, strain-specific,
bacteria-toxic effects were observed.
None of the five tested strains revealed in comparison
with the negative control, either with or without S9 mix, a
dose-related, biologically relevant increase in mutant
cells.
Preincubation test (evaluated as a main test):
No bacteria-toxic effects were observed up to and including
500 µg/tube. The total bacteria count was comparable with
the negative control or only differed insignificantly. No
growth inhibition was observed. Higher dose quantities
reveal a strain-specific, bacteria-toxic effect.
Consequently, they could only be partially, up to and
including 5000 µg/tube, included in the evaluation.
In comparison with the negative control, none of the five
strains revealed a dose-dependent and biologically relevant
increase in mutant cells. The results therefore accord with
those from the plate incorporation test. - Remarks on result:

negative without metabolic activation
