Administrative data
First-aid measures
General : Remove from exposure. Remove contaminated clothing
Ingestion : Flush out mouth with plenty of water.
Eye contact : Wash with plenty of water.
Skin contact : Flush with water.
Medical care : In case of substantial ingestion it is desirable to consult a physician.
Fire-fighting measures
Use dry chemical, carbon dioxide or foam.
Special Fire Fighting Procedures : As with all fires, evacuate personnel to safe area.
Firefighters should use self-contained breathing equipment and protective clothing.
Risk of combustion : When heated to decomposition material emits toxic fumes of Br-.
Protection : Standard firefighting equipment.
Accidental release measures
Any person entering a spill area or an unknown concentration of vapor or dust, should use a respirator.
Environmental control : The product is soluble in water.
Isolate the pollute area and the contaminated water.
Cleanup method : Carefully sweep spilled product into containers. Flush spillage area with plenty of water.
Handling and storage
Ground mechanical equipment in contact with the material to dissipate the potential building up of static electricity.
Avoid smoking.
Storage : Stow away from boiler, engine, open fire and sparks.
Special packaging : none
