A reliable toxicity study with microorganisms is not available for acetone oxime. However, a reliable toxicity study is available for the analogue, butanone oxime, and is included in this dossier.
BASF (1988) provided a reliable (Klimisch 2) study following in-house BASF protocol. Pseudomonas putida were exposed to concentrations of the analogue, butanone oxime, for 17 hours in a static test system to assess growth inhibition. The 17 hr EC10 and EC50 were 177 and 281 mg/L, respectively.
Verschueren (1983) provides information regarding the toxicity of acetone oxime to microorganisms. The handbook provides that Acetone oxime is toxic at 300 mg/L toPsedomonas sp. bacteria. While this study result is scored a Klimisch 4 and deemed not assignable, it is presented in the dossier as supporting evidence.
A reliable toxicity study with microorganisms is not available for acetone oxime. However, a reliable toxicity study is available for the analogue, butanone oxime, and is included in this dossier. A reliable (Klimisch 2) study report from BASF(1988) provided a 17hr EC10 of 177 mg/L for toxicity of the analogue, butanone oxime to Pseudomonas putida. Consequently, this study will be taken as the toxicity to microorganisms endpoint.
