Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
- General advice:
Take affected persons out into the fresh air and seek medical treatment. Ensure personal protection for the first aider.
- Following inhalation:
Take affected persons into fresh air and keep calm. Seek immediate medical advice.
- Following skin contact:
Immediately flush with copious amount of water for at least 15 minutes. Call a doctor immediately.
- Following eye contact:
Immediately flush exposed area with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Call a doctor immediately.
- Following ingestion:
If swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only if the person is conscious). Call for a doctor immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
- Suitable extinguishing media:
Carbon dioxide, Dry chemical, Water spray
- Unsuitable extinguishing media:
Not known
- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:
Formation of toxic gases is possible during heating or in case of fire.
- Advice for fire fighter: Wear protective goggles and wear a self-contained respiratory protective device. Cool endangered receptacles with water spray. Collect contaminated fire fighting water separately. It must not enter the sewage system.
Accidental release measures
- Personal precautions: Protective equipment and emergency procedures:
Wear protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away. Ensure adequate ventilation. Keep away from ignition sources. Avoid breathing dust/fume/vapours. Prevent spilled material from making contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Use respiratory protective device against the effects of fumes/dust/aerosol. Use Protective gloves
- Environmental precautions:
Do not allow to penetrate the ground/soil. Collect contaminated fire fighting water separately. It must not enter the sewage system.
- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Dispose of the material collected according to regulations. Remove combustible materials.
Handling and storage
- Precautions for safe handling:
Ensure adequate ventilation. Do not breathe vapour. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Be sure to clean skin thoroughly after work and before breaks. Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and feed. Immediately remove all soiled and contaminated clothing. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work. Do not eat, drink, smoke or sniff while working. Keep ignition sources away - Do not smoke
- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Keep away from heat, spark and flame. Protect from heat and direct sunlight. Store in dry conditions. Keep container tightly sealed. Store away from oxidising agents.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Technical protection measures: Mechanical ventilation at the point of escape of steam or fog.
Organisational protection measures: Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace. Immediately remove all soiled and contaminated clothing. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work.
Hand protection: Wear Nitrile rubber, NBR, Neoprene gloves. The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/ the substance/ the preparation.
Body protection: Chemical resistant clothing
Eye protection: Safety glasses
Respiratory protection: Suitable respiratory protective device recommended.
Stability and reactivity
Reactivity
: No reaction with water.
Chemical stability
: Stable at room temperature.
Possibility of hazardous reactions
: No data
Conditions to avoid
: No decomposition if used according to specifications. Avoid heat, flames, sparks and other sources of ignition.
ncompatible materials
: Oxidizing agents, acids, bases and reactive agents.
Hazardous decomposition products: Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide
Disposal considerations
Waste treatment methods:
- Chemical residues generally count as special waste.
- Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water.
- Disposal must be made according to official regulations.
- Must not be disposed together with household garbage. Do not allow product to reach sewage system.
Uncleaned packaging:
- Packaging may contain residues of the product and should be treated accordingly.
