Any other information on results incl. tables
Preliminary test
The test result of the preliminary test with the search program is presented in the following
table. An ignition is indicated by “+” and no ignition by “-”.
Amount of test item /g | Temperature / °C | Ignition (+/-) | Air pressure / hPa | Remark |
2.08 | 0 – 100.0 | - | 1010.5 | ---1) |
4.05 | 100 – 150 | - | 1010.6 | ---2) |
In the preliminary test no flash point could be detected up to a temperature of 150.0 °C.
Main Test
The test results of the main test are presented in the following table. An ignition is indicated by “+” and no ignition by “-”.
Amount of test item /g | Temperature / °C | Ignition (+/-) | Air pressure / hPa |
2.35 | 87 | - | 1011.5 |
2.22 | 92 | - | 1011.5 |
2.07 | 97 | - | 1011.6 |
4.28 | 102 | - | 1011.5 |
4.13 | 107 | - | 1011.3 |
4.3 | 112 | - | 1011.2 |
4.14 | 117 | - | 1011.3 |
4.12 | 122 | - | 1011.3 |
4.15 | 127 | - | 1011.4 |
4.19 | 132 | - | 1010.8 |
4.25 | 137 | - | 1010.7 |
4.44 | 142 | - | 1010.6 |
4 | 147 | - | 1010.6 |
4.14 | 152 | - | 1010.5 |
In the main test no ignition was observed up to a temperature of 152.0 °C. The test was terminated at a temperature 152 °C, since the test item already starts to decompose at a temperature of approx. 100 °C (see Thermal Stability study). Due to this result, it can be stated that the test item has no flash point up to 152.0 °C.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- The test item Triethylene glycol dimethanesulfonate (CAS no. 80322-82-3) has no flash point up to a temperature of 152.0 °C according to Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 Method A.9. Flash Point and US EPA OCSPP Test Guideline OPPTS 830.6315 (1996).
According to the results of the test on the flash point, the test item is classified as follows:
