Results

The interpolated results are expressed as percent of the total results under that size; this value is known as percentile.

The results in Table 1 show the maximum size (in µm) for 10% (Dv 10), 50% (Dv 50), 90% (Dv 90) of the particles, the percentage with a volume under 50 µm and a volume above 75 µm.

The 50% volume percentile is also known as the media of the volume distribution (in bold).

Conclusions

From the experimental obtained data according to CIPAC method MT 187 and OECD guideline No. 110, it can be concluded that the particle size distribution of the test item Sulfonium, tris(4-chlorophenyl)-, salt with 5-benzoyl-4-hydroxy-2-methoxybenzenesulfonic acid (1:1) is as follows: 2.06% of the test item presents a particle size lower than 50 µm, 95.6 % of the test item presents a particle size above 75 µm and the media of the volume distribution is 241 µm.
