Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information
Hydrolysis
The substance is not expected to undergo hydrolysis in the environment due to a lack of hydrolysable functional groups.
Biodegradation in water
The test item is not readily biodegradable based on the OECD 301D study.
Adsorption/desorption
The Koc values were 238.5- 74050 L/kg (log Koc: 2.3775 - 4.8695) based on QSAR calculations.
Additional information
Environmental fate endpoints are completed for the test item based on test data following standard guidelines or data waivers. All data are therefore considered to be reliable and relevant for the endpoint concerned.
The substance is not expected to undergo hydrolysis in the environment due to a lack of hydrolysable functional groups and therefore the hydrolysis endpoint was waived.
Biodegradation of the test item was determined in the reliable study, reporting 36 % biodegradation over 28 days (2019). Based on the data available, the test item is considered to be not readily biodegradable.
Adsorption/ desorption coefficients were calculated by QSAR (KOCWIN v2.0) for the constituents of the UVCB: reaction product of azelaic acid, amines C18 alkyl and lithium hydroxide (C18 compound) and reaction product of azelaic acid, amines C16 alkyl and lithium hydroxide (C16 compound). For the C18 constituent, the Koc values were 830.9 - 74050 L/kg (log Koc: 2.9196 - 4.8695), depending on the method used. For the C16 constituent, the Koc values were 238.5 - 22300 L/kg (log Koc: 2.3775 - 4.3482), depending on the method used.
