Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Endpoint:
short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 202 (Daphnia sp. Acute Immobilisation Test)
Deviations:
no
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method C.2 (Acute Toxicity for Daphnia)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Analytical monitoring:
yes
Vehicle:
no
Details on test solutions:
Based on the results of preliminary non-GLP range finding test, the following nominal limit concentration was tested in the definitive test:

100% of a filtrate of a stock solution at a loading rate of 100 mg/L
Test organisms (species):
Daphnia magna
Details on test organisms:
The organisms were originally supplied by KU Leuven, Belgium.
Test type:
static
Water media type:
freshwater
Limit test:
no
Total exposure duration:
48 h
Test temperature:
20.6 - 21.4 °C
pH:
7.7 - 7.8
Dissolved oxygen:
7.8 - 9.3 mg/L
Nominal and measured concentrations:
100 % of the filtrate of a stock solution at a loading rate of 100 mg test item/L and a control

geometric mean measured concentration over 48 h [µg test item/L]: 0.319
Reference substance (positive control):
no
Key result
Duration:
48 h
Dose descriptor:
LC50
Effect conc.:
> 0.319 µg/L
Nominal / measured:
meas. (geom. mean)
Conc. based on:
test mat. (dissolved fraction)
Basis for effect:
mobility
Remarks on result:
other: No immobile daphnids were observed up to the concentration limit.
Conclusions:
In this limit test no immobile daphnids were observed in the control or in the limit concentration of 100% of the filtrate of a stock solution at a loading rate of 100 mg test item/L.

It is therefore concluded that the EC50 of the test item is higher than the limit concentration tested (nominal: 100% of the filtrate of a stock solution at a loading rate of 100 mg test item/L). This corresponds to a geometric mean measured Multistab DHP 507 concentration of 0.319 µg/L.

Description of key information

No immobile daphnids were observed up to the concentration limit of 0.319 µg/L.
