With the experiments, endothermic and exothermic effects were observed between 300°C and 550°C. With the first experiment one exothermic peak was observed. The extrapolated onset temperatures of the effect was 415.609°C. The exothermic decomposition energy was 76.479 J/g. With the second experiment two exothermic peaks were observed. The extrapolated onset temperatures of the effects were 406.808°C (first effect) and 467.932°C (second effect). The exothermic decomposition energy was 58.337 J/g (first effect) and 3.5342 J/g (second effect). With the third experiment two exothermic peaks were observed. The extrapolated onset temperatures of the effects were 401.136°C (first effect) and 426.913°C (second effect). The exothermic decomposition energy was 41.182 J/g (first effect) and 6.9157 J/g (second effect). Since multiple exothermic effects were observed during Experiment 2 and Experiment 3, the sum of the exothermic decomposition was determined (i.e. 61.872 J/g for Experiment 2 and 48.098 J/g for Experiment 3). The difference between the minimum and maximum exothermic decomposition energy is >10%, i.e. 59%. Since the exothermic decomposition energy is below 500 J/g, these results are accepted.

After the experiments, a white residue remained at the bottom of the sample container and the sample container had expanded.  It indicated reaction and/or decomposition of the test item during the test.
