In a test on hydrolysis as a function of pH equivalent to OECD 111 (reliability category 2), the submission substance was stable at neutral pH (less than 10% degradation within 5 days at pH 7 and 50 deg C). However, transformation at acidic and basic conditions was observed:

pH 4, 25 °C: Kobs = 0.000130/min; Half life (h) = 89.1 h;

pH 9, 25 °C: Kobs = 0.000035/min; Half life (h) = 329.2 h;

The transformation product was GUF (reaction product of glyoxal, urea and formaldehyde).
