Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Ready biodegradability was tested using the Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Evolution Test (Modified Sturm Test, OECD 301B) at 24mg/L corresponding to ca. 12 mg TC/L.

The relative degradation values calculated from the measurements performed during the test period revealed significant degradation of TKK 30159. At least 60% was reached within 10 days of biodegradation exceeding 10%. Thus the criterion for ready biodegradability was met. However the criterion for ready biodegradability was not completely met for bottle A, and therefore a conservative approach is taken and the registered substance is proposed to be readily biodegradable but failing the 10 -day window.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable but failing 10-day window
