Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Inhalation:
Move to fresh air. Get medical attention, if needed.
Skin Contact:
Wash with soap and water. Get medical attention if irritation develops or persists.
Eye Contact:
Hold eyelipds apart and flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. If irritation persists get medical attention.
Ingestion:
Have victim rinse mouth thoroughly with water. Do not induce vomiting without medical advice. If ingestion of a large amount does occur, seek medical attention.
General Advice:
No hazards which require special first aid measures. If you feel unwell, seek medical advice (show the label where possible).
Notes to Physicians:
Treat symptomatically.
Fire-fighting measures
Fire Fighting Equipment/Instructions:
As in any fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent) and full protective gear. Use water spray to cool unopened containers. Move containers from fire area if you can do it without risk.
Suitable Extinguishing Media:
Dry Chemical, foam, water fog.
Extinguishing Media Which Must Not Be Used for Safety Reasons:
High volume water jet.
Unusual Fire & Explosion Hazards:
May burn, but does not ignite readily. Containers may explode when heated.
Specific Hazards:
Irritating and toxic gases or fumes may be released during a fire.
Special Protective Equipment For Fire-Fighters
In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Personal Precautions:
Use personal protective equipment. Ensure adequate ventilation. Do not touch or walk through spilled material. Keep unnecessary personnel away.
Environmental Precautions:
Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. Do not let product enter drains.
Containment Procedures:
Eliminate all sources of ignition or flammables that may come in contact with a spill of this material. Stop leak if you can do so without risk. Stop the flow of material, if this is without risk. Dike the spilled area, where this is possible.
Methods for Cleaning Up:
Wear appropriate protective equipment and clothing during clean-up. Dike far ahead of liquid spill for later disposal. Prevent product from entering drains. Absorb with earth, sand or other non-combustible material and transfer to containers for later disposal.
Handling and storage
Handling:
Use care in handling/storage. Wear personal protective equipment. Do not handle or store near an open flame, heat or other sources of ignition. Avoid prolonged or repeated skin contact with this material. Avoid breathing vapour or mists of this product. Wash hands after handling and before eating.
Storage:
Use care in handling/storage. Keep away from heat, sparks, and flame. Store in a cool dry place. Keep container closed when not in use.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Additional Exposure Data:
Avoid repeat or prolonged exposure to vapour or mist without appropriate respiratory protection.
Engineering Measures:
Ventilation should effectively remove and prevent buildup of any vapour/mist/fume/dust generated from the handling of this product.
Personal Protective Equipment
Respiratory Protection:
No personal respiratory protective equipment normally required. If mist is generated (heating, spraying) and engineering controls are not sufficient, wear approved organic vapour respirator suitable for oil mist.
Hand Protection:
Wear appropriate chemical resistant gloves.
Eye Protection:
Safety glasses with side-shields. If splashes are likely to occur, wear face-shield.
Skin and Body Protection:
Normal work clothing (long sleeved shirt and long pants) is recommended.
General:
No special protective equipment required. Use good industrial hygiene practices in handling this material.
Hygiene Measures:
Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practices.
Stability and reactivity
Conditions to avoid:
High temperatures.
Hazardous Decomposition Products:
Carbon oxides, hydrogen chloride (HCl) gas. Thermal decomposition can lead to release of irritating gases and vapours.
Stability:
Stable at normal conditions.
Materials to Avoid:
Stong oxidising agents, reducing agents.
Hazardous Polymerisation
Will not occur.
Disposal considerations
Disposal Instructions:
This product, in its present state, when discarded or disposed of, is not a hazardous waste according to U.S. Federal regulations (40 CFR 261.4 (b)(4)). It is the responsibility of the user of the product to determine, at the time of disposal, whether the product meets applicable criteria for hazardous waste.
Waste from Residues/Unused Products:
Dispose of in accordance with local regulations.
Contaminated Packaging:
Do not re-use empty containers.
