Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The acute toxicity of Z-Oil towards Daphnia magna was investigated in a study conducted according to OECD Guideline 202 and EU Method C.2. The 48 h NOEC, LOEC, and EL50 were determined to be 40, 80, 76.5 mg/L (nominal), respectively.

Additional information

The acute toxicity of Z-Oil towards Daphnia magna was investigated in a study conducted according to OECD Guideline 202 and EU Method C.2. Daphnids (5 daphnids/replicate) were exposed to Z-Oil for 48 h at nominal concentrations ranging from 5 to 100 mg test item/L under static conditions. As the test item is poorly water-soluble, the aqueous extracts (WAFs) of the test substance were used in the test. The actual test concentration was checked by IR-spectroscopy. As the test item proved to be stable in the aqueous phase (>=80% recovery after 48 h), the test results were based on nominal concentrations. The 48 h NOEC, LOEC, and EL50 were determined to be 40, 80, 76.5 mg/L (nominal), respectively.
