The purpose of the study was to determine the vapour pressure of the test item using the isothermal thermogravimetrical effusion method. The evaporation rates of the test item at elevated temperatures and ambient pressure were determined by monitoring the weight loss.
The isothermal thermogravimetric effusion method was applied for the determination of the vapour pressure of FAT 20085/B TE. According to Sponsor information (Proposal for Sameness criteria) the test item FAT 20085/B TE consist of ≤ 10 % (w/w) water. Due to test item properties the test was done above 160 °C with a drying phase at 150 °C for 20 min.
Based on the findings of the study, the vapour pressure of the test item at 20 °C (293K) was calculated to: 9.34 × 10-2 Pa (mean of three determinations, without water).

Due to test item properties (water content ≤ 10 % (w/w)) the sample for the measurement should be dried at 150 °C. The experiment was done applying temperatures from 160 °C to 220 °C. The coefficient of correlation (r²) was 0.9360. The coefficient of correlation (r²) was 0.9981.
