Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Basis for effect:

Remarks on result:
other: No effects were seen
Details on results:
The lethality for the control group was at the end of the test less than 10%.
The oxygen saturation for all aquaria were > 60% during the whole test period.
The fish were a little smaller than recommended by OSPAR, since their average length was 3.38 +- 0.30 cm. The average weight was 1.01 +- 0.24 g and in that way the requirement about maximally 1 gram fish per litre test solution is kept.
Results with reference substance (positive control):
The reference substance was tested at 0.3; 0.6; and 1.2 mg 3,5-DCP. The toxicity was 0% lethality at 0.6 mg/l and 100% at 1.2 mg/l. That is below the recommended 20-80% lethality at 0.6 mg/l, but since the lethality was 100% at 1.2 mg/l the sensitivity of the fish is assessed to be normal.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Since no effects were seen, the value of both 10% lethality (LC19) and 50% lethality (LC50) are estimated to be > 1000 mg/l.
