Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media:
Water mist, dry extinguishing media, foam, carbon dioxide (CO2)

Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons:
For safety reasons do not use full water jet.

Specific Hazards:
Formation of harmful fumes. Hazardous combustion products: (CO, CO2).

Special protective equipment for fire-fighters:
Fire fighters should be equipped with self-contained breathing apparatus to prevent contact with reaction products.

Special protective equipment:
Do not stay in dangerous zone without self-contained breathing apparatus. In order to avoid contact
With skin, keep a safety distance and wear suitable protective clothing.

Further information:
Contaminated extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions:
Use personnel protective clothing. Avoid substance contact. Avoid inhalation of fumes and aerosols. Ensure supply of fresh air in enclosed rooms. Ensure adequate ventilation.

Environmental precautions:
Do not allow to enter drains, sewerage system. Cover drains. Collect, bind and pump of spills.

Methods for cleaning up:
Contain with adsorbent material and dispose. Avoid generation of fumes, aerosols and dust.

Handling and storage

Handling:
Ensure thorough ventilation of stores and work areas. If handling large quantities without ventilation use respiratory protection.

Protection against fire and explosion:
Take precautionary measures against static discharge.

Storage:
Keep tightly sealed. Keep away from oxidising agents.
Protect against temperatures below 15°C. Protect against light.
Keep away from strong alkaline and strong oxidizing agents
